How to motivate people to pursue quality education in the era of information overload?
Thinking
Faced with the advance of the pandemic and the growth of e-learning platforms, AT&T launched an initiative to develop content for its online educational platform.
The main goal was to provide accessible digital resources to reduce barriers to online education in the U.S., addressing the "homework gap"1, a major global education issue.
At Happy Together Studio we noted that in order for AT&T to differentiate itself from other organizations that provide products already found in the e-learning market and to create a lasting change when it came to learning, The Achievery had to capture the attention of both students and educators, transmitting an added value to the learning process. Moving in this direction, we made a proposal that combined an innovative vision of education with our experience in storytelling.
We proposed a comprehensive product that offers educational experiences designed by experts in pedagogical innovation and long-term solutions.
Our proposal was as bold as AT&T's future goals. And turned out to be the winner.
Doing
Once our submission was accepted, we created a team dedicated 100% to The Achievery. Consisting of experts in education, storytelling and audiovisual production, the team was headed by a global leader in the educational field who holds a Master's degree in education from Harvard University.
Additionally, we established a Happy Together Studio office in the city of Boston to be available during the content development process and address any emerging challenges with agility. To this day, we maintain a close relationship with our client and have created a platform that is constantly growing.
We created original content in English and translated it into Spanish to make it accessible to Spanish-speaking communities. We proposed and established strategic alliances with important collaborators in the entertainment field such as Warner Bros, Discovery and CNN, with the aim of incorporating elements of pop culture into educational content, thus motivating young people in their learning. We developed a transmedia educational experience that transforms traditional pedagogical notions, empowering each student to be an active subject in the teaching process. The platform was started with 60 pedagogical units and today offers 700.
Together with AT&T, we faced a great challenge: ensuring that all students have access to quality education and equitable opportunities. At Happy Together Studio, we are committed to creating meaningful experiences for students of today and tomorrow.
Since 2022, the number of platform users has grown 42.03%
